What's Included in This Package
Private Lodging
Relax in your own private haven during your stay. Prepare meals in the full kitchen or walk to a nearby restaurant. The master bedroom has a private bath and the second full-size bedroom has its own bathroom. Enjoy the big, beautiful living room and huge deck with gorgeous views. Chill out and watch elk and deer wander through the yard!
Custom Yellowstone Tour
Your private tour gives your group (1–4 guests) the full attention of your expert guide.
Comfortable Vehicle
Whether we are wildlife watching, exploring geothermal areas or hitting the trail, we'll get there in one of our comfortable touring SUVs.
Good Food on Tours
Depending on our day's activity and start time; your guide will bring baked goods, hot drinks, and a picnic brunch or a hearty lunch. Please bring your own water bottle and we'll have refills in the vehicle. Dinner and other meals outside of our tour times are on your own. Use the kitchen, bbq or enjoy one of our local restaurants.
Biologist Guide
Our naturalist guides use their expert local ecological knowledge to help you see and learn about the wildlife you are interested in. They'll teach you about many incredible aspects of Yellowstone and help you stay safe while you go wild!
Amazing Optics
Plenty of high-quality scopes and binoculars are provided, so you won't miss out on the action by having to share!

Weather and Elevation
Weather varies A LOT! We can have 60 degree (F) temperature changes in a day. Bring clothing layers. Yellowstone has a dry, high-elevation climate. BYO water bottle and drink plenty of water to have your best day. We provide water for refills in the field.

Wanderlust Haven Accommodations
Built and in 2017 by owner Derek J. (our incredibly talented local friend), Wanderlust Haven is a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom cabin that comfortably sleeps up to four guests.
The cabin features a full kitchen, spacious living room, large deck with breathtaking views, and all the amenities you need for a relaxing stay. Within walking distance, you will find coffee shops, restaurants, shopping, watering holes, and more.
House Rules & Check-In and Check-Out Times
- Check-in: After 4:00 PM
- Check-out: Before 10:00 AM
- House Rules: No pets, no smoking, and no events. Guests are responsible for any damages incurred during their stay.

Your Vacation Package Questions Answered
How do I get to Wanderlust Haven?
Wanderlust Haven is located in Gardiner MT, at the north entrance of Yellowstone National Park. The nearest airport is in Bozeman MT, about 1.5 hours drive away. West Yellowstone MT, Billings MT, Cody WY and Jackson WY also have airports but are farther away. You have two transportation options:
1. We can arrange transport from the Bozeman airport or a nearby hotel to the Wanderlust Haven. The cost is approximately $300 each way and we would need to make advance arrangements.
2. You can rent a car from a national carrier at the airport, but we recommend renting from Explore Rentals. This local company has great service and offers more relevant vehicles with snow tires in the winter.
Do you do photography tours?
Yes! We do custom photography tours. We find that it works best if you choose a theme or style of photography for the day (although landscape photography can happen anywhere here!) Please get in contact and we'll organize custom photography days for you.
Is the Wanderlust Haven private?
Yes, this is a private home, located on a residential road overlooking the townsite of Gardiner. There is only one rental available on the property. If you have more people that would like to join you than fit in the Wanderlust, there are other cabins, apartments, studios and homes nearby. If it isn't quite what you're looking for, get in touch by email and we will make other suggestions.
What else can I do in Gardiner MT?
In addition to the tours we offer, you will also find opportunities for fly fishing with Parks Fly Shop, rafting with our friends at Wild West Rafting, horseback rides with Specimen Creek Outfitters in and around Gardiner. What is your cancelation policy?
Cancel more than 30 days before your trip date to get a full refund minus a 10% credit card and processing fee. Cancel 5-29 days before your trip date to get a 50% refund.
We typically do not issue refunds if you cancel within 5 days of your booked tour. However, please contact us if exceptional circumstances keep you from attending as we may be able to make alternative arrangements.
