We are very fortunate to have permits to operate in Yellowstone National Park and the surrounding Custer-Gallatin and Shoshone National Forests. This gives us access to nearly 4 million acres of incredible, wild lands and thousands of miles of trails. Whether you want and easy, beautiful half day stroll or an epic backpacking adventure, we have some great options for you! How far are you willing to go? Day Hikes near Gardiner & Paradise Valley, Montana

Get away from the crowds and experience the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem like a local! The Custer-Gallatin National Forest holds all of the mountain splendor and wildlife of Yellowstone, without the masses. Relax, unwind, move and discover this magnificent area with us. Join us for a private half-day hike (up to 5 hours) or private full-day hike (up to 8 hours) in Custer-Gallatin National Forest, on Yellowstone's doorstep. Day Hikes in Yellowstone National Park

Yellowstone has over 900 miles (1,450 km) of trails in a variety of habitats, from lush pine forests to stark thermal basins, from steep mountain treks to casual strolls along boardwalks. Take a closer look by getting off the beaten path and onto a trail. We customize your half-day (up to 5 hours,) or full-day (up to 8 hours) privately guided hike in Yellowstone according to your preferences, abilities, time of year, weather, and trail conditions. Location Options: We can guide you on trails in Yellowstone near Mammoth Hot Springs, Tower Falls, Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, Hayden Valley and Lamar Valley. Yellowstone Backpacking Trips

Get off the beaten path and enjoy parts of the park others rarely see on a Yellowstone backpacking trip. We offer fully custom, private backpacking trips throughout Yellowstone with a duration and difficulty level just for you. Backpacking is a great way to recharge your body and mind, meet your own challenges, or just relax and ponder the wonders in front of you. Choose routes with hot springs, water falls, abundant wildlife, peaceful lakes, or mountain scenery. We recommend at least 2 nights/3 days to give us time to get to the best of the backcountry. Longer itineraries are available. June - October from $700 per day

Day Hikes and Backpacking in the Beartooth Mountains

The Beartooth Mountains border Yellowstone National Park to the Northeast with a spectacular high elevation landscape of wildly beautiful and dramatic peaks, deep valleys, remnant glaciers, and remote lakes. Hikes here keep you saying 'Wow!' and 'Where is everybody?' The Beartooth Mountains offer awe-inspiring, lake studded views and many hiking and backpacking opportunities. Wildlife is abundant here, but people are not. This area hosts mountain goats, pika, marmots, and incredible migrations of raptors in the late summer and fall. We haven't seen a wolverine up here yet, but they've certainly seen us, based on fresh tracks. We are stoked to get to take you here! In Our Nature Guiding Services is authorized to operate in Shoshone and Custer-Gallatin National Forests which include the Beartooth Mountains. July - October from $700/day

Llama Day Hikes

A day hike with llamas is a great way to enjoy the wild outdoors. We partner with experienced llama handler Susi from Yellowstone Llamas, who can answer all of your questions about the llamas. You will also have the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of Yellowstone National Park and the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, its wildlife, history, and geology. Our treks are suitable for families with young children, as well as adults of any age. Llama day hikes are available in Yellowstone National Park or at Sage Lodge in Paradise Valley, MT June- October from $195/person
