This year has been an absolute joy for us, sharing Yellowstone’s incredible beauty with so many wonderful people—thanks for being a part of it and making it all possible! We can’t wait to welcome you back to Yellowstone soon! A lot of people have been asking when is the best time to come back, below is a graphic that we made to help you decide based on wildlife (and human) activity. Snow is flying now, so we hope to have good XC skiing and snowshoeing conditions through mid March. For those looking to hit the trails, mid May - October are best for day hikes and mid June - September are best for backpacking trips. Weather can very on the beginning and end of those dates.

Hello,
We have friends who recently did a tour with you and loved it. We are scheduled for a mom/daughter trip in September. We only have 1 day in Yellowstone and would like to make the most of it. We are staying in Jackson Hole. Is it possible to do a tour with your outfit? If not, do you have any recommendations for small, personalized companies like yours?

Hi Anne,
Thanks so much for contacting us. We are a long way north of Jackson Hole, so we recommend that our guests stay either in Gardiner, MT or somewhere in the northern half of Yellowstone for logistical and timing reasons for Wildlife Watching trips (https://in-our-nature.com/tour/yellowstone-wolf-tours/). Half day hikes could work from Jackson Hole, but would involve a lot of driving for you all. Our availability is limited until mid October.
